Nostalgic Victorian Style Christmas Card

I wanted to create a Victorian style Christmas card. And I'll be the first to admit, this card took some time to put together. So, it's probably not one you'd want to make if you have bunches of cards to send out to family and friends.

The finished card is 5 x 7 inches.

Card front base is brown cs.

Brick embossing folder is from Tim Holtz.

Window die template is Cheery Lynn Designs.

The Victorian Christmas scene is a freebee

from the internet.

I used Sparkle N Sprinkle's glitter in

Goldenrod GM2006, and embossing powder in

Gold EP169.

1-1/2 to 2 inch wide clear packing tape.

Regular tape

Double sided tape

VersaMark Watermark pad

Glitter glue

Chalk ink in Chestnut Roan

Snow Marker

Heat gun

Instructions:
1) Cut brown cs to 5 x 7 inches. With VersaMark pad, stamp sentiment at bottom, sprinkle with ep and heat set.
2) With tan cs and brick embossing folder, run through machine. Cut to desired size and distress with chalk ink. Center window die and cut. Cut a 1/4 inch wide strip of brown cs and adhere under window.
3) Cut a piece of packing tape and place on back side of tan cs so the sticky part is on the front of the card. Cut off any excess. (NOTE: you may want to do this on a piece of wax paper.) Make sure all sections of upper window are adhered to the packing tape. Sprinkle with Goldenrod glitter, tap off excess.
4) Print scene, highlight with glitter glue and allow to dry. Cut out scene and tape to back of tan cs.
5) Add Snow Marker along the top of the brown window ledge. Heat with heat gun just until it puffs up, it will burn if you apply too much heat.
6) Adhere tan cs to brown cs as shown. Adhere card front to card base.
