Roses

ROSE BOUQUET stamp set by Beccy Muir from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

After laying down a base color with Copics and PrismaColor pencils, the addition of PRICELESS PEACOCK glitter, really makes the roses on this card sparkle.

For a bit of a vintage look, I colored this bouquet with bright yellow and green Copic markers and added Sunny Daze glitter to the petals.

Here I used Fiery Fuschia glitter to highlight the rose petals.

Although difficult to see from this photo, the Peruvian Lily glitter added to the rose petals is gorgeous.

Colored in turquoise, the petals are highlighted with Waterfall glitter. The scalloped oval is detailed with Priceless Peacock glitter.

My Sweet Dahlia

Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set DAHLIA from our very talented artist Rosiland Solomon.

For something a little different, I stamped, heat embossed and then colored the petals with PrismaColor pencils. The results turned out stunning! And I couldn't be happier.

Beauty in Flight

This is from Sparkle N Sprinkle's Hummingbirds and Flowers stamp set. Teal, red and yellow make a great combination to show off this little bird doing what it does best.  I used Sunny Daze, Jasper Blue, and Sparkling Snow to highlight the flowers and hummingbird

Pretty in Pink

From Sparkle N Sprinkle's Spring Florals stamp set, a little coloring with Copics, fussy cut, and voila! A simple but pretty card.

Steel Magnolias

Did you know:  Magnolia is an ancient genus. Appearing before bees did, the flowers evolved to encourage pollination by beetles. To avoid damage from pollinating beetles, the carpels of Magnolia flowers are extremely tough. Fossilised specimens of Magnolia acuminata have been found dating to 20 million years ago, and of plants identifiably belonging to the Magnoliaceae dating to 95 million years ago.

Another beautiful stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle's Spring Florals stamp set - the Magnolia. Although the flowers bloom on a tree/shrub, I chose LifeStyle Crafts Flourish die template to anchor and add interest to this card. The center of flowers sparkles with Sunny Daze glitter.

Timeless

Happy Mom's Day!

At last! The perfect opportunity to use Sparkle N Sprinkle's Pocket Watch Collage stamp. Pocket watches usually make one think of Grandpa. But with the butterfly, it's perfect for Grandma as well. The focal point of this card is the gorgeous Hydrangea from the Spring Florals stamp set. To give it a vintage look, I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Antique Linen & Vintage Photo.

Sweet Pea

As a rule, I have to purchase my plants as starts from the nursery. I have terrible luck getting things to grow from seed. But I don't have that problem with Sweet Peas. Vine crawlers and absolutely gorgeous, most don't have a fragrance. I remember Sweet Peas growing in my Grandma's garden.

This stamp is from Sparkle N Sprinkle's Spring Florals Stamp Set 490.

Roses are red????

Or maybe they're blue with a rich lavender. That's what they are in my world. Here I used Sparkle N Sprinkle's LG Rose Stamp from My Rose Garden Stamp Set 402. Masking and stamping the rose 3 times, coloring with Copics and embossing the entire card front with Sparkle Embossing Powder definately makes this card sparkle and shine!

Blue Hydrangea

Hydrangeas are such a gorgeous flower. And the variety of colors is so gorgeous these days. That being said, my favorite are those that have the blue/purple coloring.

This stamp is from Sparkle N Sprinkle's Spring Florals Stamp Set 490. Wouldn't this make a beautiful Mother's day card? Which, by the way, is just next week.

Tulips

What better flower than Tulips to announce that Spring is f-i-n-a-l-l-y on it's way. Sparkle N Sprinkle's new stampette set Tulips 491S helps make that announcement. I have two cards to share with you.

While lavender is probably my most favorite color, I have to say that lavender and periwinkle make a beautiful color combination. A little bit of fussy cutting and adding Crystal Ice glitter G1058 to the bottom of each tulip, really makes this card stand out.

Greens, pinks, and a dab of yellow bring out the more traditional colors of tulips.

Teacup Magnolia

Happy Saturday! I should be out cutting the lawn and cleaning up flower beds. Yeah, right. So, instead I made a card.

I found this teacup template on the internet, courtesy of http://MelisaWaldorf.blogspot.com. Instead of using it as she had originally intended, I cleaned it up using my Corel Paint Shop Pro, and used only 1/2 of the template, leaving an open space at the top of the teacup for the stamp.

I stamped Sparkle N Sprinkle's Magnolia 1683-328G (stamp set 328 Floral Magnolia) and colored with Copics. Although most of the doily (Cheery Lynn Designs) has been covered, it still makes for a pretty vintage style card.

Fan Geisha

For this card, I framed Fan Geisha's head with the large Lotus flower. Coloring the Geisha's outfit green, and the Lotus pink, I tried to give the image of a flower and stem. Stamped along the left side is Bamboo.
