Hi everyone! Today, I have two Asian themed cards to share with you.
This card showcases the beautiful Flower Medallion, colored with Copics in rich pinks, red, and blues. The corner designs were created by first lightly penciling in the design, then adding 1/4 inch Tear-ific tape and adding Gold embossing powder.
Okay, so here's the story behind this card. I was eating Chinese food one evening, and the thought struck me that the chop sticks might look kinda cool on a card. So, here's what I came up with.
Somewhere along the line, I aquired some handmade paper. Bingo - a perfect opportunity to use it!
The white handmade paper background is stabalized with a piece of cardstock. The large Lotus Flower is embossed with Gold ep, and detailed with the beautiful Priceless Peacock glitter. For added fun, you could attach a fortune from a fortune cookie.
Great idea to use the tape for the corner designs!
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are so cool. Love the glittered corners on the first one and a very fun idea to use chopsticks on the second one.
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous Asian cards, Karalee! They must look beautiful in person with all the textures, glitz and sparkle!
ReplyDeleteLove how you did the design with the embossed tape!!! Genius....
