Here's something interesting . . . Native American Indians called strawberries "heart-seed berries" and pounded them into their traditional corn-meal bread. Discovering the great taste of the Native American's bread, colonists decided to create their own version, which became an American favorite that we all know and love .. Strawberry Shortcake.
Don't know about you, but I just love strawberries. Seeing strawberries growing equates to Summer for me.
Sparkle N Sprinkle's artist Beccy Muir, has created Sweet Strawberries Stamp Set 484. I know, it's only February, but in anticipation of Summer, I created some cards to share with you.
As I said, I love strawberries, and if they're dipped in chocolate - well - that's even better.
What better way to tell your sweetheart you love them with a cute card and some real chocolate dipped strawberries.
Thank someone with a handmade thank you card using the small strawberry stamp, beautifully colored and decorated by you.
And one final card to share with you. Using the large strawberry stamp, this could be an any occasion card - just add a sentiment.
Love them all and especially love strawberry shortcake! Always looked forward to the spring and the Strawberry Festival in Plant City when I lived in Tampa!!! Beautiful cards.
ReplyDeleteKaralee, your hearts are so cool dancing upward on your page! very cute. The strawberry cards are wonderful! My favorite is the 3rd card - how pretty with the pink halo around the plant, and the pretty white doily - whose die is that? Your layered panels look so pretty, too!
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous, Karalee! My favorite is the first one, but the other two run awfully close! Very yummy looking!
ReplyDeleteOooh baby, love the hot lips on the first card! I went to make a chocolate pudding pie with strawberries tonight - and wouldn't you know all the pudding was gone!! Oh well - tomorrow is another day! Great cards Karalee.
ReplyDeleteAll of these are fabulous!! It would be hard to choose a favorite.
